CHEAT MEALS

I don’t like the term ‘cheat meal’

It comes from what elite athletes say when they consciously deviate from an incredibly strict diet.

If you aren’t an elite athlete preparing for an event - you definitely don’t need to be on a strict diet. Therefor you aren’t ‘cheating’ and don’t have to act like a child who is being naughty.

Instead, you should frame your mind on looking to make better decisions, even if they are only slight better.

Better is better!

One of the best ways to make a seemingly ‘bad’ nutrition choice better is to make it yourself. It takes more time, but it’s often worth it!

This picture is the filling from a pie I made.

Because I made it, a few things happen.

1. It’s cheaper per portion.

2. It tastes better (if I do say so myself)

3. I put more chicken and veg in it than a shop bought pie.

4. I had more control over the typical crap that goes into a pie and could minimise it.

5. It was fun to cook.

The same applies to pretty much any processed food. Make it yourself, and know what goes into it. 🥧
